After 5 years of operation, PelGar is to cease its operations at Church Farm Training Centre, near Basingstoke. During this time, in addition to being a unique training venue for PCO’s, the facility has been the centre for our insecticide efficacy testing and provided a base for our extremely important rodenticide field trials.

We have made the strategic decision to move our R&D and insecticide testing programmes to a purpose built suite of test rooms and insectaries at our head office site in Alton.  Vertebrate field trials will continue to be run under the PelGar ORETA licence, supported by our technical team based at the Alton site. During the recent pandemic training at Church Farm has been completely curtailed, though some has continued through the use of webinars run by Alex Wade. Going forward we will continue to provide technical support to the industry through webinars, presentations and literature but will no longer provide a physical training venue such as that provided by Church Farm.

We would like to thank the support and assistance provided by Dr Steve Havers over the last 5 years and wish him all the best with developing the Church Farm Training Centre in the future.  We would also like to thank and recognise the efforts of our dedicated team that has run the facility during this time.

PelGar operations will cease on the site during November 2020.
