PelGar is looking to recruit an exceptional Production Manager for our well respected and growing specialist manufacturing business. We are experiencing rapid growth in global markets and are keen to secure the services of a Production Manager who can drive both manufacturing and culture change strategies throughout our Hampshire production facility.

This is an exciting time for the business and you will be fundamental in its continued success by developing and implementing a change management plan across the facility. Working closely with the Head of Operations and Managing Director you will help determine and implement improvements to the production equipment, process and staff to increase outputs, reduce waste and maintain the on-time delivery of quality products to meet growing customer demand. You will need solid experience in all aspects of efficient production management and the business is keen to look at continuous operational and manufacturing improvement techniques, so if you have experience of any major lean production methodology this would be an advantage.

You will need to demonstrate a clear strategic vision with a strong focus on productivity, quality control and health and safety. You will have experience in developing and improving operating procedures to increase efficiency and you will liaise closely with both the H&S and Maintenance managers to ensure that all safety standards are adhered to and machine maintenance is carried out with minimum disruption.

The role requires an inspirational team leader who can provide structure, guidance and support to the dedicated workforce. Your experience of managing production teams and engaging them in the change process alongside setting and managing their individual continuous improvement is a vital part of this change management plan.

This role requires an experienced production manager who is level-headed and quick to foresee and solve any problems. Excellent communication skills are a must, and you will have the ability to influence at all levels as you will be expected to push through improvements.

This growing business is set to double its turnover in the next 10 years, so for the right candidate the role and organisation will offer strong and stable career progression.

This really is an exceptional opportunity for the right Production Manager, and we are keen to see applications from all areas of manufacturing, food processing, chemical or FMCG.
