PelGar International was founded in 1995 by Dr Gareth Capel-Williams, with a clear mission: to develop and manufacture effective pest control products for public health and agriculture. From its earliest formulations, PelGar has focused on scientific innovation, product efficacy, and regulatory compliance - building a reputation for excellence in rodenticide and insecticide development.
In 2015, PelGar expanded its capabilities through the strategic acquisition of Agropharm Ltd, broadening its product portfolio and strengthening its market presence. Today, the company operates from its headquarters and manufacturing site in Alton, Hampshire, which also serves as a research and training centre. A second facility in Telford, Shropshire houses PelGar’s formulation laboratory and insecticide production lines, enabling full control over product development and quality assurance.
PelGar International now employs over 130 staff and exports its products to more than 70 countries. Our global reach reflects a deep commitment to supporting pest control across diverse environments - from urban infrastructure and agricultural landscapes to humanitarian and military operations.
We serve a broad customer base, including pest control operators, distributors, public health agencies, and organisations such as NATO. Beyond product supply, PelGar actively contributes to national and international campaigns targeting nuisance pests and disease vectors, helping to protect communities and ecosystems worldwide.
