PelGar sponsored Pest Controller of the Year as industry professionals celebrated excellence at the National Pest Awards.
The UK's pest management industry came together in style on 9 September for the National Pest Awards 2026, with professionals from across the country gathering at the historic Plaisterers' Hall in the City of London to celebrate achievement, innovation and excellence within the sector.
A venue befitting the occasion, Plaisterers' Hall is one of London's finest livery halls, renowned for its impressive architecture, rich heritage and elegant surroundings. Nestled in the heart of the capital, the venue has long been associated with prestigious events and celebrations, making it the perfect setting for an evening dedicated to recognising the very best our industry has to offer.
As a proud supporter of the pest management profession, PelGar International sponsored the highly respected Pest Controller of the Year award, one of the evening's standout categories. The award recognises individuals who consistently demonstrate exceptional technical expertise, professionalism, customer service and commitment to best practice.

Each finalist represents the high standards, dedication and professionalism that continue to strengthen and advance the pest management industry. Reaching the final is a significant achievement in itself and reflects the respect each individual has earned from colleagues, customers and peers alike.
On the night, it was Iain Mackinnon of Pest Solutions who was named Pest Controller of the Year 2026. The award was presented by Nic Blaszkowicz, PelGar International UK & Ireland Business Manager, who had the pleasure of congratulating Iain on his outstanding achievement in front of fellow industry professionals.
Representing PelGar at the ceremony were Nic Blaszkowicz, Amina Kellie, Group Procurement Manager, Rhian Strothers, Group Customer Services Manager, and Jonathan Waugh, Marketing Manager. The team enjoyed the opportunity to meet customers, partners and colleagues from across the industry while celebrating the individuals and businesses making a positive impact throughout the sector.
Organised by Pest Magazine, the National Pest Awards have become one of the industry's most anticipated annual events, shining a spotlight on the people and organisations that continually raise standards and drive professionalism across pest management. The evening combined recognition and celebration with a fantastic atmosphere, expertly guided by comedian Dinesh Nathan, whose wit and humour kept the audience entertained throughout the ceremony.
While awards recognise individual and company achievements, they also serve as a reminder of the vital role pest management professionals play in protecting public health, food safety, property and the environment. The quality of this year's finalists and winners demonstrated the depth of talent, expertise and commitment that exists across the industry today.
