Insecticides |
PelGar has developed an extensive range of insecticides suitable for use by professional users in the control of nuisance and amenity pests and also for vector control in both governmental and aid supported programmes. The control emphasis often differs quite radically between these two types of pest control. Urban pests such as houseflies, cockroaches, non-vector fleas, bed-bugs and non-vector mosquitoes require premium grade rapid acting products with enhanced knock-down and flushing effects for rapid pest population suppression. For the control of insect vectors of important diseases including plague (fleas), leishmania (sandflies) and mosquitoes (dengue, encephalitis and malaria) products that offer excellent cost efficacy and persistence are required. PelGar has built product families suitable for use in either circumstance, products, which by means of formulation type, presentation and packaging offer the optimal benefits whether for professional or vector control programs. The main active ingredients formulated by PelGar are the pyrethroids (principally cypermethrin, alpha-cypermethrin, permethrin and tetramethrin). It is PelGar’s view that the above four actives plus the incorporation of metabolic synergists allows the development of a very robust range of products capable of dealing with all insect problems. To compliment these active ingredients PelGar formulates them into a wide range of formulation types to maximise the benefits of the active ingredients in a wide range of application situations and against a broad-spectrum of target pest species.
